I make my living writing and speaking on higher education, politics, management, new media, and remote and teleworking. This blog contains the majority of my published – and some non-published – writings as well. I work as a spokesperson and writer for the largest member-based nonprofit organization that focuses on postsecondary education in Washington D.C. I’ve been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Business Week, NBC’s Today Show, Fox News, and CNBC among others. I currently freelance write for several magazines on higher education finance and professional development. I began teleworking full-time in March 2008 and write and speak about my experiences to both newspapers and national radio shows. I earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Resource Management from Brigham Young University and an MBA in Finance from Baker College.

“Justin writes for The Greentree Gazette magazine on the topics of professional development and financial aid. He is very knowledgeable in both areas and has a clear, concise writing style. He has also gone beyond his regular writing assignments and helped us cover industry events. I would highly recommend Justin for any writing opportunities he wishes to pursue.” - Florence Kizza, Editor, Greentree Gazette

“Justin is a consummate professional, with particular strengths in creating and delivering presentations and in writing. His energy level is quite amazing and he uses it to make remarkable contributions to the student aid profession. I know Justin to be dedicated and loyal and trustworthy. I would not hesitate to recommend him for any position he felt compelled to pursue. He is a pleasure to work with.” - Rick Shipman, Office of Financial Aid Director, Michigan State University

“I have heard Justin present at a number of student loan conferences and he always does an excellent and professional job. His presentations are interesting, easy to listen to, and contain useful information which I have taken back to my office to share with others.”  - Wally Erhardt, Associate Director, Student Loans of North Dakota

“Mr. Draeger is a gifted professional with many talents including sharp analytical skill and superior verbal and written communication expertise. Justin conceived and wrote a brilliant document for the Michigan Higher Education Student Loan Authority outlining its public service mission and unique offerings for Michigan students and their families. In addition, at a relatively young age, he possesses a level of political savvy that is most often acquired after decades of experience. In short, Mr. Draeger is one of the brightest professionals I’ve ever encountered and he enjoys my highest recommendation. He will surpass your expectations.” - Patricia Scott, Bureau Director, Michigan Department of Treasury
