NASFAA Submits Comments On Loan NPRM

Abstract:

NASFAA President Dallas Martin submitted NASFAA’s comments on the Loans Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) yesterday. On June 12, the Department issued the NPRM through the Federal Register and allowed a 60 day comment period. The NPRM was published after four unsuccessful attempts to reach consensus through the negotiated rulemaking process. “Our suggested changes are offered in the spirit of improving the regulatory language to better serve our nation’s student and parent borrowers,” said Martin.
