NASFAA Annual Conference Begins With Focus On Ethics, Leadership And College Access

Abstract:

NASFAA kicked off its Annual Conference this weekend with a preconference on increasing college access among underserved students, a bitter-sweet final address from out-going President Dallas Martin at the NASFAA Board reception, a luncheon encouraging diverse members of the association to strive for leadership positions, and a hilarious performance by The Capital Steps, a group of former Senate staffers who now satirize the federal government through skits and song. The 2006-07 NASFAA National Chair Janet Dodson also gave a special welcome to first-time attendees encouraging newer financial aid administrators to get involved in state, regional, and national committees.
