Amendments For House Reconciliation Bill Submitted, President Signs HEA Extension
Abstract:
On Tuesday, the House Committee on Rules released a summary of possible amendments that seek to make changes to the College Cost Reduction Act of 2007 (H.R. 2669) that was passed by the House Education Committee last month. This article summarizes a few of the possible amendments published by the Rules Committee. Also on Tuesday, the President signed the “First Higher Education Extension Act of 2007” (S. 1704), which extends authorization of the Higher Education Act of 1965 (HEA) through July 31.
