Abstract:
In 1987 PowerPoint 1.0 for the Macintosh was released by Robert Gaskins and Dennis Austin. That makes PowerPoint 20 years old this year, just a year shy of the age needed to indulge in the type of activity it may take to get through some of the presentations that rely on it. But, according to the program’s creators, it has strayed from its original intent. This article outlines the five things users should and should not do when creating their next PowerPoint presentation.
