May 9th, 2007 by Justin

Abstract

Chief Operating Officer of Federal Student Aid (FSA) Terri Shaw announced her departure from the Department of Education effective June 1. Her resignation comes as harsh criticism of her office has intensified in recent weeks. Despite the growing criticism that the Department has received in recent weeks, Secretary Spellings released a statement yesterday explaining that Shaw had stated her intent to leave the Department in late February, and agreed to continue until June 1 at that time.
